Patty Jo Whalen

SOUTH BEND-Patty Jo Whalen, 78, passed away in her home July 13, 2021, with her husband by her side. Born November 1, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Ruby Ake.On June 4, 1977, Patty married Joseph Whalen. He survives her. Also left to cherish her memory are, her daughter, Suzanne Foxton of Kew, England; two grandchildren, Holly and Teddy Foxton; brother-in-law, Vince (Margo) Whalen of South Bend; sister-in-law, Laura Ruff of Bremen; sister-in-law, Carol (Jon) Markley of Granger; and loving nieces and nephews.Patty retired from AT&T in 1994. She enjoyed reading, watching NASCAR, and collecting Disney Stamps. She also had a love of animals. She will be dearly missed.Per her wishes, no services are taking place.
