Peter Ward St. Clair

Peter Ward St.Clair passed away peacefully on Sept. 6, 2024 at the age of 95 with his loving Family at his side. He was born in Sturgis, MI on Feb. 1, 1929 to the late Harold E. and Dorothy (Pryce) St.Clair.

Peter was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 68 years, Sydney (Madden) St.Clair; and his sister, Eva (Vincent) Downs.

Peter is Survived by his Children: Steven (Laura) St.Clair,  David (Amy Stiffler) St.Clair, Susan (Paul Tensing) Martini and Julie (Ron) Hargis; His seven grandchildren: Matthew (Kristin) St.Clair Sr., Katherine (Robert ) Saborsky, Anthony (Elizabeth) Martini , Emily (Matthew) Reusing, Peter Martini, Sydney (Matthew Phillips) Hargis and Claire Hargis; five Great Grandchildren: Matthew Steven St.Clair Jr., Molly Marie St.Clair , Gino Martini, Vivian Martini and Winifred Reusing; and sister, Gwen (John) McCullough.

Peter graduated from the University of Cincinnati, where he captained the 1950 Bearcats football team to the Sun Bowl. After College, Peter entered the Army where he served from 1951until 1959, joining the reserves in 1953.

Peter worked for the Graybar Electric Company for 33 years in Credit Management. After retirement Peter enjoyed projects around the house, working in the yard, fishing and lake time.

He attended any and all activities of his children and Grandchildren and was active in his church community, teaching bible study, and helping anyone in need. He was a great husband, father, son and brother.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Nov. 2 at 10:30 a.m., with visitation starting at 9 a.m., at the White Oak Christian Church, 3675 Blue Rock Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45247. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 10209 Plainfield Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45241.
