May 25, 1942 – December 20, 2020Robert B. “Bob” Emery II passed away December 20, 2020, after a brief illness.
Born May 25, 1942, he was the son of the late Cora (Canell) and Robert Bruce Emery I. Three brothers, John and Stewart Emery and Bruce Farlow, also preceded him in death.
On October 16, 1964, he married the love of his life, Mary Hayden. She survives him. To their union, they were blessed with three children: Corinna Emery of South Bend, Robert (Tamara) Emery III of Mishawaka and John (Marina) Emery of South Bend. Also left to cherish his memory are: three brothers, Edward Fitzgerald, Jon Wampler and Royal Emery; three sisters, Christine White, Jacqueline Clark and Tina Hopple; 10 grandchildren: Trevor, Christine, Robert (Kaity) IV, Carson, Chase and Joseph Emery, Nate Firestone, Heather (Kyle) Leroy, Brittney (Lucas) Niespodziany and Lex (Suzanne) Zolman; and nine great-grandchildren.
Bob earned his masters degree from Georgia Tech. He was a hard worker and retired from AT&T after 26 years. He was a Veteran, he loved to fish, he loved to go target shooting with his sons and he was a longtime member of the NRA. He also enjoyed going to the casinos. More than anything, he was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
