Robert Brown Nevel

Robert was born December 26, 1953 in South Bend, IN to Melvin and Beatrice “Betty Lou” (Brown) Nevel. His father preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory are: his mother, Betty Lou Nevel of Lake Forest, IL; companion, Rebecca Callcott of Lake Forest, IL; two sisters, Linda Hurwick of Northbrook, IL and Ilene (David) DeYoe of Highland Park, IL; and 6 nieces and nephews: Lawrence, Sarah, Andrew, Mary, Emily, and Peter.

Throughout his life, Robert pursued many interests with great enthusiasm - architecture, running, urban farming, and learning about all things. Above all though, he treasured the connections and friendships developed with his family and friends over many decades.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m.(EST) in the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to: KAM Isaiah Israel Social Justice Committee (Chicago), the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
