Ruby Myrtle (Lavine) Tingley

Ruby Myrtle Tingley passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 22, 2024. She was born to the late Marion Joseph LaVine Sr. and Helen (Newton) LaVine-Croy in Niles, Michigan on February 19, 1942.

Ruby is survived by her daughters, Annette (Richard) Ernsperger, Georgia (John) Todd, and Helen (Ron) Messer; grandchildren, James Todd, Justin Todd, Jessica Todd, Michael Wolford, Randy Wolford, Torey Tingley, Michelle Ernsperger, Emily Ernsperger, Sara Welsh; 14 great-grandchildren; her sister, Joy Ann Farr; sisters-in-law, Marie LaVine and Kimberly LaVine; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Richard S. Tingley and her son, Richard P. Tingley; siblings, Marion LaVine, Bernice LaVine, Russell LaVine, Terrence LaVine, and Charles LaVine; grandson, John Todd III and great-grandson, Hayden Brinkley.

Ruby spent her life raising her children and was involved in ministry with the Jehovah's Witness organization. She loved to travel and attended many Jehovah's Witness conventions with her special, close friends Robert and Sandra Bruce, Chris Hensley, and Ruth Snyder. She also enjoyed playing cards and board games/puzzles with family and friends. Her best Yahtzee buddy and close friend was Lynette Rusk.

A memorial service for Ruby will be held on June 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 26807 US Hwy 20, South Bend, IN 46619.
