Sharon Lee York

February 3, 1944 — November 9, 2017

Sharon Lee York, (a.k.a Mrs. Radzikowski), 73, of South Bend, Indiana entered into heaven on November 9th, 2017 in South Bend, Indiana after a courageous battle with cancer.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service, Saturday, November 18th at noon, visitation with the family will begin at 11:30am at First United Methodist Church, 201 East 3rd Street, Mishawaka, Indiana. Sharon, was born on February 03, 1944 in South Bend, IN to Eugene and Adeline Niedbalski, where she was a life-long resident. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Adeline Niedbalski; late husband, James John Radzikowski; daughter, Kari Ann Radzikowki; sister, Kathy Niedbalski; grandson, Samuel Joseph Radzikowski; and granddaughter, Madison Rain Radzikowski.
Sharon was a stay at home mom before being employed by Holy Cross Health Systems for 17 years. She possessed a near supernatural work ethic and went on to retire from Healthwin Hospital in 2010. However, Sharon never retired from caring for her family.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ronald York, her sons: John (Janice) Radzikowski and Joseph (Melanie) Radzikowski, David (Brenda) York and Ronald York Junior; her sister ,Geri Kroll; brother, Gene "Tykey" (Laina) Niedbalski; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, (one on the way); and 11 nieces and nephews.
Sharon will be remembered by her family for her unconditional love and her devotion to the Lord. Sharon was a true testament of how to walk by faith as she blessed her family everyday with her generosity, forgiving nature, and her gentle spirit. She was a prayer warrior and interceded for those in need. Her loving spirit believed "we" could overcome and she helped carry us through difficult times. Her love and faith for family persevered even when they stopped believing in themselves. Her relentless love will never be duplicated.
Sharon enjoyed traveling and camping. She enjoyed traveling to the Black Hills with her husband and best friend, Ronald.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sharon's memory to Greene Township Lions Club or RiverBend Cancer Services. No matter what life handed her, Sharon would always say, "I counted my blessings today". Please count yours each day in her remembrance.
