Shirley Anne Blue, 81, passed away on Thursday, September 29. Shirley was born on September 3, 1935 in Mishawaka, IN to the late S. Starr Wentworth and Mildred E. (Rufe) Wentworth.
On August 25, 1962, Shirley married James Blue. He preceded her in death. Her brother, Dennis Wentworth, also preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Lisa (Craig) Sychowski of Mundelein, IL and Dawn (Scott) Troyer of Vandalia, MI; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Alvaro) Warren of Chicago, Kimberly (Ray) Jackson of Mudelein, IL, and Madison and Ashton Troyer, both of Vandalia, MI; and two great-granddaughters, Alexis and Addyson Jackson.
Shirley was a beautiful woman inside and out. She will be remembered as always having a smile on her face and making people laugh. She attended Mishawaka High School and graduated in 1952. She was a former member of First United Methodist Church in Mishawaka, IN. She was dearly loved and will be missed.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, October 3rd from 1 to 3PM, with the funeral following at 3PM at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Rd. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, James, at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
