Surelle M. "Relly" Lavenhar, 88, passed away peacefully in her home June 9, 2017, with family at her side.
She was born November 12, 1928 in Santa Monica, CA to the late Leon and Connie (Dressler) Geller. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Geller.
On September 4, 1949, Relly married the love of her life, Bert Lavenhar, with whom she spent 67 wonderful years. He survives her. Also left to cherish her memory are two children, Joanne (Dan) Galbreath of Granger, and Terri Lavenhar of South Bend; three grandchildren, Brian (Jasmine) Galbreath of South Bend, Danielle (Tommy) Holsworth of Carmel, IN and Kevin Galbreath of Los Angeles, CA; and four great-grandchildren, Addison (9), Brooklinn (7), Caden (6), and Kailynn (3).
Relly loved spending time with her family more than anything, whether entertaining and cooking, or relaxing at the beach, or playing board games, or just sitting and talking. She had a peaceful nature and enjoyed reading mysteries, playing crossword puzzles and crocheting. She was a devoted wife and she and Floyd enjoyed traveling and had been all over the US and other parts of the world. She was always there for you, and her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of many.
Her wishes were to be cremated, and her family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.
