Terry S. Donze

September 8, 1951 — September 12, 2022

Terry Sue Donze, 71 of Granger, IN was a loving wife, mother, nana, and friend to many. She entered eternity on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Memorial Hospital after a 3 year battle with breast cancer which she fought with grace and grit. She was born on September 8, 1951, to the late Ernest and Rita (Stebner) Lindstedt. Terry is survived by George, her loving husband of 52 years and their son, Matthew (April) Donze; grandsons, Keenan, Caden and Colten Donze; brother, John (Tamara) Lindstedt; and aunt, Marilyn Hab. She graduated from John Adams High School in 1969. Terry worked for her family business at the Dainty Maid Bake Shop for many years. In 1989 she began working for the University of Notre Dame where she worked for over 33 years as an officer assistant to the Vice President of University Relations. She was very passionate, loved her job and built great relationships with many in the Notre Dame community. Terry was beautiful on the inside and out. Her kindness, cheerfulness, and dignity made anyone in her presence feel at peace. She only saw the good in people and defended the defenseless. You could often find her cooking and entertaining for family and friends. She loved getting into mischief with her grandsons. She was a lifelong member of the New Apostolic Church who enjoyed serving others in any capacity needed. A Memorial Service will be held at the New Apostolic Church, 5602 South Ironwood Road, South Bend, IN at 2:30 on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Visitation will take place prior to the service starting at 1:00. The service will be conducted by Rev. Karl Orlofski of Milwaukee, WI. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Notre Dame. Please designate your gift to the Terry Donze Memorial Fund.
