Timothy E. Barry, 69, passed away May 1, 2017. He was born December 30, 1947, in Hackensack, NJ to the late Charles and Virginia (Schonder) Barry. A son, Thomas Harden; and brother, Dr. Richard Barry, also preceded him in death.
On January 23, 1971, Tim married Jamery Sue Noland. She survives. He is also survived by two sons, Brendan D. (Lauren) Barry of Chicago and Charles N. (Erin) Barry of Carmel, IN; granddaughter, Nora Lily; one sister, Barbara (George) Herbert of Sea Girt, NJ; four brothers, Dennis (Julie) Barry of Sea Girt, NJ, David J. Barry of South Bend, John Barry of FL, and Christopher Barry of Woodbridge, NJ; and his English Bull Terrier, Jameson.
Tim graduated from Queen of Peace High School in 1965 in North Arlington, NJ. He obtained his Masters degree in Psychology from ISU, and his undergraduate degree in Latin and Greek from St. Peter's College in Jersey City, NJ.
Tim was formerly a retail manager at the late Venture Store and at Dick's Sporting Goods. After retirement, he worked as a teller at PNC Bank in Granger, IN, where he was most currently employed. Tim enjoyed classical music and was a talented pianist. He was liked by everyone, and will be remembered for his quick wit.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4th from 6-8 p.m., with a parish vigil service at 6 p.m., at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR23, enter off Cherry Rd. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:30 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with Msgr. William Schooler officiating.
