Vera J. Randall, 88, fomerly of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 25, 2022, in her residence at Wedgewood Pines Assistant Living in South Bend Indiana. She was born on November 18, 1933, Mishawaka, Indiana to Walter and Ruth (Baldwin) Kohler Sr. On March 18, 1960, she married James D. Randall Sr. He passed away on October 1, 1991. Left to cherish her memory are by her three daughters-Kay Freeman (Russell) Enfield of Elkhart Indiana, Kathy (Rex) Synesall of Auburn Indiana, and Karen (Jerry) Klug of Dowagiac Michigan; grandkids- Franchesca Marie, Neil (Rebecca) Freeman, Nicholas (Caitlin) Keesler, Vincent (Laura) Keesler, Aaron (Stephanie) Klug and Adam (Jessica) Klug; and 9 great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Townsend and Ann Kuzman; two brothers, Jack Kohler and Walter Kohler Jr.; and one grandson, Nathaniel Keesler. Vera was a manager of the Elkhart Housing Authority in the 1960's and later worked in the Elkhart Community School Administration. Upon retirement, she was an avid traveler of the world and also enjoyed volunteering. Volunteering with Hospice, Elkhart General Hospital Auxiliary and with Habitat for Humanity in various places of the world, was very meaningful to her. She enjoyed spending several months each year volunteering with the Benedictine Sisters in the Monastery at Mount Angel, Oregon. Vera was a graduate of Indiana University, a D.A.R. member and also a member of St. Thomas The Apostle Church and Women of the Moose, Chapter 73. The family wishes for a private visitation for her family.
