William Charles Hamel

William "Bill" Charles Hamel passed away at the age of 90 at his home in South Bend. He was born on January 18, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Kenneth S. and Molly (Monahan) Hamel.Left to cherish Bill's memory are his sons, Kevin (Maureen) Hamel, Kenneth Hamel and Robert (Cheryl) Hamel; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.Bill was preceded in death by his parents; wife of almost 67 years, Phyllis; and brother, Jack.Bill served in the ROTC and the Air Force. He received a bachelor's degree from Notre Dame in 1954.Bill loved his family and will be missed.
